Recently, there was a news story I came across that showed a 30-year-old woman died after attending a party. Not just any party, a COVID party. There was also another disturbing report about college students having these similar types of parties. Ever since many cities in America have reopened, are people becoming complacent about this disease? Do they seriously think it’s a hoax or a joke? The reality is that it is far from neither of these things. Do you know why? Here are a few reasons why we all shouldn’t become complacent about this disease and why we should take it more seriously.
People are still Dying or Getting Infected with Illness
Like I’ve mentioned earlier, people like this 30-year-old woman are still dying or getting infected with the coronavirus. Most businesses and other local places have reopened and are trying to get back to normal. However, this virus is still out there and we must continue to exercise caution. If you want to save lives, even if they are strangers, you will obey the rules in taking this virus more seriously.
Think about your Loved Ones ahead of Yourself
I’ve mentioned this a few times in my previous articles, but it’s important to think about the welfare of your family and friends. If you continue to take this virus as a farce by not wearing your mask in public, you will be putting someone like your grandmother at risk every time you visit her. Be mindful of protecting them from infection just like you would a stranger.
Following Directions will Save your Life
I firmly believe that these wise words will save more lives from this disease. These words I am referring to are:
“The shrewd one sees the danger and conceals himself, but the inexperienced keep right on going and suffer the consequences.”
Only if more people in this world were living by these words. Then, we wouldn’t see rising COVID-19 cases everywhere. We wouldn’t see this entire world in a state of confusion like it is now. If more people responsibly follow the directions of wearing their mask and social distancing, we will be successful in at least slowing this virus down.
Now is not the time to become complacent about the coronavirus. Please follow all directions in saving other people’s lives and your life.
