LaCroix facing lawsuit for allegedly putting insecticide in its beverages

Uh, oh-it looks like another well-known food and beverage brand could be in some hot water.  USA Today has reported today that a lawsuit was filed against sparkling water beverage LaCroix’s parent company alleging that the product includes an ingredient used in cockroach insecticide as well as other artificial ingredients.

Advertised as an “all natural” sparkling water beverage, the lawsuit claims that testing of LaCroix’s products revealed the synthetic ingredients.  These ingredients include linalool, which is used in cockroach insecticide.  Law firm Beaumont Costales filed the suit on behalf of customer Lenora Rice.  Of course, LaCroix has denied this allegation, but if it is found true, it will only more than ever show how important it is for us to be careful what we put in our bodies.
