Hello, everybody. I wanted to switch gears a little bit and talk about my special experience. For a week and a half, I attended my first international convention in Monterrey, Mexico. It was an experience that I’ll never forget. I’ve met so many friends across the globe – from Columbia to Brazil, from Mexico to Japan. We were within a “spiritual paradise.” A very “bonita” spiritual paradise!
The activities, such as the Evening Gathering, were thoroughly entertaining. The attractions, such as the Safari Park and Horsetail Falls, were a sight for the eyes. Oh, did I forget the food? It was really cool to try cactus for the first time. I felt it had a delicious, tender taste about it. I also developed a new appreciation for mole over enchiladas – yum!
Then along came the three-day convention – a spiritual feast beyond compare! I never took so many photos, selfies and group selfies in all my life. By the end of each of the heat-sweltering days, I was truly “selfied” out. HahaHaha! But I wouldn’t have had it any other way. It was so moving seeing Jehovah’s people from almost every nationality you can think of. I’m still shocked I didn’t let out a tear!
All of those friends who volunteered for this convention really provided a fitting example of true love. They worked so hard to make sure that we were happy with our stay in the hotels, answered questions and welcomed us with open arms. They went above and beyond the call of duty to help us with everything we needed. I just wanted to tell you all you did a wonderful job and, “Yo amor tu.”
As we go back to our respected homes, let us take this time to truly reflect on this memorable experience. We were in a global spiritual paradise built by faith, hope and most importantly, love. What were your favorite memories from an international convention? Feel free to share your thoughts in the comment section below. I look forward to hearing from you.
El Amor Nunca Falla was strongly shown the while week. What a joy and memories never to be forgotten. All praise to our Creator and his Son for molding us to reflect their qualities of love!
