5 Stress Relieving Exercises You Must do During this Pandemic

With most of the local gyms reopening, some people have been going back to their exercise routine.  Some other people have been resuming their exercise routines at home.  No matter where you go, you have to implement some level of exercise into your life.  It is very vital to a woman’s overall health.  To help you cope with the current stress-filled world we’re dealing with now, here are five good routines that should effectively alleviate that.

Walking and Dancing

You can’t go wrong with these two basic forms of exercise.  Walking helps keep the blood flowing in your legs and dancing fosters a strong connection with people, lowering your stress levels.  Both make you feel good and put your mind at ease. 

People with regular walking routines have reduced stress levels and higher self-confidence.  If you like to dance a lot, you will also be reducing your stress and altering your level of happiness.  So don’t take these simple exercises for granted.

Pilates

This next routine is a series of exercises emphasizing body awareness, core strength, and proper alignment.  Pilates has been known to be effective in alleviating neck and back pain.  These two conditions are common side effects of stress.  It is typically performed on a machine in a Pilates studio.

Tennis

Tennis is a good example of a stress relieving exercise.

Out of all the outdoor sports that are good for your body, experts say that tennis is considered great in reducing stress.  It is a cardio workout that is great in strengthening hand and eye coordination.  Tennis can help prevent stress-related conditions, such as heart disease.  So if you don’t play the sport, try taking affordable lessons from some city parks.

Gardening

More people than ever have been growing their plants and veggies in their gardens.  But did you know that gardening is another good stress relieving exercise?  Weeding can burn up to 200 calories an hour and more strenuous activities, such as raking, could cause you to lose 600.  Gardening is stress relieving because it refreshes you and makes you feel close to the earth.  Be sure to start small if you’re interested in this hobby.

Jumping Jacks

It may be an old-school routine we used to do all the time in gym class.  But jumping jacks are great in working the heart, lungs, and muscles at once.  Because it is a fun exercise, that’s what makes it stress relieving one.  It helps to raise the heart rate.  Jumping Jacks is also an easy exercise to do at home when you don’t have any equipment.  So slip on some gym shoes, pop in your aerobics DVD, and jump away.

Now more than ever, we need some heart-thumping exercises for much need stress relief.  Go out and start walking more.  Dance to your favorite tunes at home.  Pick up tennis or gardening as a new hobby.  Start doing jumping jacks.  All of these are great exercises in reducing your day-to-day stress.
