The fall season is almost here. This is known as the season for plenty of delicious hot tea and coffee flavors. But for everyone in the vegan community, you can still enjoy plenty of delicious, dairy-free hot and cozy drinks. The most popular flavors we commonly associate fall with are pumpkin, cinnamon, and chocolate, among others. These five on this list do contain all of those flavors and more only with a vegan twist.
Ginger Turmeric Tea
This vegan-friendly gluten-free tea contains two of the best immune-boosting herbs ever. It is great and easy to make during the cold and flu season in fighting against inflammation. You can make it with a fresh turmeric root and ginger simmered with a dash of black pepper. Add in whatever sweetener you prefer- maple syrup, sugar and you have yourself a comforting, soothing tea. Serve it hot or chilled to a few guests at your home.
Vegan Pumpkin Spice Latte
One of most signature flavors of the fall season is pumpkin. Practically, every coffee and tea shop is serving a pumpkin-flavored hot or cold drink right now. But if you’re a vegan, you’re probably wondering where’s a dairy-free version that meets my approval? Behold this gluten-free, refined sugar- free Vegan Pumpkin Spice Latte. Just like the Starbucks version, only without the milk products in the syrup. Unsweetened almond milk was used in this recipe instead to create this popular fall favorite.
Spiced Cinnamon Bourbon Hot Toddy
Some people just prefer a little liquor in their warm drinks. If you’re one of those people, here’s a bourbon-flavored hot toddy without all of the dairy and refined sugar. Consisting of only seven ingredients, the Spiced Cinnamon Bourbon Hot Toddy is an interesting drink you can try to make on a cold, fall day if you like bourbon. It’s especially a nice, subtly spicy drink to enjoy after having a tough, long day. Warm up in your home with this lively drink.
Oatmeal Latte
If you’re looking for breakfast in a cup, look no further than the Oatmeal Latte drink. This drink sounds like it’ll be a perfect start to your day. It also consists of seven ingredients such as rolled oats, water, coconut milk, dates, cinnamon powder, salt, and brewed coffee or a shot of espresso. You can also make the optional easy-to-make chocolate sauce, which has dairy-free chocolate and a couple of tablespoons of coconut milk. Enjoy this latte while reading a book at home and wearing warm footies.
Vegan Hot Chocolate
When I think of the cold fall season, hot chocolate is another drink that comes to mind. But for those who are vegan, there is a non-dairy version made especially for you all. Velvety smooth and high in fiber, the Vegan Hot Chocolate is made with only a few ingredients consisting of a couple of teaspoons of arrowroot starch, almond milk, cocoa powder, some cane sugar, a pinch of sea salt, and a teaspoon of vanilla extract. You can also reduce the amount of sugar if you like. Make this in only a few minutes and enjoy!
